Hello all. We’d like to take a moment to introduce ourselves. We are the Adventurous Artists! A group of passionate people bonded together with the common goal of bringing awareness of and raising funds to sustain our beloved Minnesota Fringe Festival. You may be asking yourself, what is the Minnesota Fringe Festival? Great question! The Minnesota Fringe Festival is the largest performing arts festival in the Midwest. Every year, about 40,000 audience members view hundreds of performances by more than 1,000 local and national artists on a variety of stages at this summer festival in Minneapolis.
Sounds like a great time! But why are we raising funds what’s the big deal? In compliance with state safety measures the Minnesota Fringe Festival will not take place this year. This is not only a devastating blow to the artists and fans creatively, it is also an enormous loss of income to the festival. The nonprofit organization Minnesota Fringe estimates it will need to raise $100,000 to continue on with the 27 year old festival next year.
