Adventurous Artists is pleased to announce our hosts for the FringeMiss Fundraiser: Allison Witham, Duck Washington, and Shanan Custer! Read on to find out more about each of our illustrious hosts…

Allison Witham is a Twin Cities performer, director, writer, deviser, teacher, and lecturer. In addition to performing in and collaboratively creating shows for Fringe since 2010, Allison directed last year’s hit musical, “Edith Gets High.” Allison is a core and founding member of Transatlantic Love Affair (started at the MN Fringe 10 years ago) and teaching artist the Guthrie Theater and the University of Minnesota.

Duck Washington is an actor/director/audio designer/improvisor/producer/playwright in the Twin Cities. His work has been scene on most of the Twin Cities stages, including those in the Minnesota Fringe Festival. A small sampling of Duck’s Fringe shows include Caucasian Aggressive Pandas and Other Mulatto Tales, Blackout Improv, Wilhelmina and Theodore’s Exquisite Victorian Adventure, Thac0, Fringe Orphans, Macbeth: The Video Game Remix, It is So Ordered: The Supreme Court’s Greatest Hits, Theatre 101, and The Sound of Footloose but there have been many, many more. Duck is on the board of directors for Fearless Comedy Productions, The Twin Cities Horror Festival, and Rinky Dink Operations. He is a member of Blackout Improv, Vilification Tennis, and The Theater of Public Policy. Duck co produces the Minneapolis chapter of the Encyclopedia Show and also produces shows under his own company Rogues Gallery Arts.

Shanan Custer is a theater maker, writer and improviser who has performed with Interact, History Theatre, Frank Theater, Theatre Pro Rata, Comedy Suitcase, The Mystery Café, Mu Performing Arts as well as directed productions at Theatre in the Round, Artistry and DalekoArts. Shanan is a company member of the Mysterious Old Radio Listening Society and an actor/writer for Sue Scott’s Island of Discarded Women. Shanan has created and performed more shows than she can count for the MN Fringe Festival! Her latest in a series of Fringe shows inspired by beverages (coffee and wine) called “Bad Things, Good Whiskey” (with Carolyn Pool, Rhiannon Fiskradatz and Elena Giannetti) will open at Park Square Theatre when the rest of the world opens.
